MCP will win in 2019 , and we are expecting them to accomplish more for Malawi!

By Jackson ziyaye (Guest writer) All studies so far show that Mcp will win next years presidential and parliamentary elections and yes they will win and for that we say congratulations as analysts ! Of course you must continue to work harder than you have done to ensure even the worst rigger won’t rig enough to subvert the will of the people .... you are facing a formidable rival in dpp and their off shoot the utm ... they both have money because they are two sides of the ruling party ! So work hard until you actually get both legs into state house. The warning is that , as analysts we will be more brutal from the second you are in government next year , than we can be with dpp and it’s offshoots because you mcp have a great legacy from the past that you must beat. Our expectations are very high for you mcp than they are for dpp or utm . These latter two have no track record of great past achievements except the few attempts by Bingu over some two years in mid 2000...

Why the opposition in Malawi must unite

By Chisambi Masamba In 2014 an opportunity for significant change was lost merely because some people did not listen to counsel coming from serious analyses that consistently showed that PP was going to just win in the north and by less than 55 % and come second class in the east and falter everywhere ! The implication of this was that no matter what our wishes would have been , the number one poison was going to be either for dpp or Mcp ... since dpp had left a seriously notorious legacy of mismanagement, brutality in the 2011 20 july mass killings , nepotism against all other tribes and pilferage , the best choice was Mcp. The latter had the cleanest of all the leaders contesting anyway ! What happened was lamentable , pp could not join forces with Mcp and as such, ridding on incumbency , monkey tricks with election results, judicial system capture inter alia , dpp stole the election and was pronounced the winner midnight just two hours before 12 midnight on the 8th d...

It is now more likely that MCP will win in 2019 if MCP steps up efforts

Guest writer Ok now you have digested ... but in case you were not at the masintha rally, note the following: 1. The meeting had a good following almost reminded me of Atupeles rally at the same venue at his peak when he run on the message of change in 2014. 2. 98% of the prominent politicians who led the movement rally yesterday were dpp breakaways . Except for very few one or two faces who themselves are trying to find a home 3. There was no prominent person from Mcp , no prominent persons from udf or pp who were surprises. 4. The messages of what utm will Do were put in a simplified way which is good. The simplicity also made it easy to see that except for the 1 million job numbers to be created in one year, none of what they said is new. In fact all of them are in dpp, udf and Mcp manifestos, with the latter having almost everything and more . 4. As usual it is difficult in one rally to spell out the hows . Not surprisingly , the how to do it is unknown f...
